Site-wide design refresh — colors, fonts, design
"Overall changes – I would like to make broaded changes to the website as it looks dated. changes colors, fonts, design" — Kristin's email. Today's stack: Playfair Display + Franklin Gothic, navy and warm gold. These three are evolutions, not full rebrands — same PCCP, more current.
Five directions to react to
Variation A
Clean modernist — sans-only
Inter for everything. Lighter navy #0f172a, cool slate accent replacing the warm gold. Brighter white surfaces. Reads cleaner and more current — feels closer to a modern SaaS aesthetic than a traditional financial firm.
Variation B
Warm editorial — serif-led
Newsreader (heading) over Inter (body). Paper-warm backgrounds, deeper aubergine accent. Feels like an editorial publication or quarterly journal — signals "we publish thinking" more than "we move money."

Confident modernist — premium-RIA
Sharper type pairing. Navy intensified to #0a1628, accent shifted to electric blue. Tighter density. Looks like a top-tier RIA — Brookfield, Carlyle, premium institutional. Most "elevated" of the three.
Variation D · NEW
Monochrome — Oxford-comma minimalism
Pure black on white. Inter throughout. Zero color accents — every emphasis comes from weight and spacing. Most modern of the five; appeals to next-gen LP. Apple / Linear / Stripe-doc aesthetic.

Warm classic — patrician PE
Cream backgrounds, deep navy headlines, terracotta accent. Playfair Display headings over Source Sans 3 body. "Old-money private equity" feel — closer to Berkshire / Brookfield 50-year-anniversary aesthetic.
